15 Bridges & A Volcano View

We woke up to fog this morning which got me to thinking of traipsing through a rain forest, on a bridge – which one? any of the 15 you walk on in the Arenal Forest excursion with a guide pointing out nature—and a beautiful view of the Volcano in the distance. This is a 2-mile rainforest circuit with 15 bridges from 5 to 100 yards in length, very safe.

Arenal Volcano, active since 1968, daily ejecting gases, water, fumaroles, and sometimes accompanied by powerful thunders. Enjoy the most extraordinary views of the volcano on a gentle hike along the base of this marvelous “Mountain of Fire”. Then have lunch and a soak at the Tabacon Hot Springs – the Volcano may spew a little “fire” during your time there. You can visit during the day or evening – if you are looking for spectacular views, either choice is good (or, do both).

Where? Costa Rica, a land of sustainable tourism. Also a land of really nice people, beautiful large sea turtles, beaches and lodges or hotels to stay in.

Other popular activities in Costa Rica are horseback riding, fishing or kayaking on Beautiful Lake Arenal, hiking, lazing on the various beaches, or viewing the marvelous wildlife found all over Costa Rica.

Horseback riding is kind of synonymous with a zip lining tour that has twelve platforms and ten zip lines. The platforms are at an elevation of 150 feet. The shortest cable is 195 ft. and the longest is 1,200 ft. Think what you can see from here!
